3 cups yoghurt

3 cups water

½ tsp salt

½ tsp Chaat Masala/Black salt

½ tsp roasted cumin powder

¼ tsp black pepper powder

10 curry leaves or mint leaves


1. Mix all the ingredients in a blender and blend for 1 minute until smooth and frothy.

2. Pour into tall glasses with crushed ice and serve.

This delicious cool and dreamy concoction is from acclaimed Indian chef, Madhu Arora, who runs Ma Indian Cooking.   Madhu says many of the recipes she teaches are based on those handed down over the generations and her grandmother’s recipes are particularly special to her. Madhu's classes integrate various regional cuisines, principles of Ayurveda and a holistic cultural experience. "Ahimsa" which means non-violence on every level, is one of the key cultural principles, which has inspired her cooking and classes.
