On Sunday 26 March, we celebrated Neighbour Day in Lane Cove. Over 150 people came to Hughes Park to join in the festivities which included a sausage sizzle by Rotary Club of Lane Cove, face painting courtesy of Lane Cove Community Chaplaincy and Elsa from Frozen, nail art and lawn games all set to music from StringyBark Jazz, a Lane Cove Council Band. Additionally, First Nation Indigenous dancers from St. Ignatius' College Riverview performed traditional dances with volunteers from the crowd. We had a great time making flatbread and pesto using fresh ingredients right from the garden. Our horticulturist, Meredith Kirton, also talked to locals about worm farming and composting.

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible including, but not limited to, Mayor Deborah Hutchens, Lane Cove Community Chaplaincy, Lane Cove Rotary, St. Ignatius' College, Riverview, Enactus University of Sydney, Culinary Tales, StringyBark Jazz, Lane Cove Municipal Council, Lane Cove Community Aid Services, The Village Observer, and In The Cove. Most importantly, this event could not have happened without all of the lovely residents of Lane Cove.

Hope you had as much fun as we did!
